Catholic Disciples Devoted to Christ Through the Word
Emmaus Journey exists to encounter the Word—Jesus Christ—Who ignites the hearts of the faithful for a lifetime of discipleship.
We inspire, accompany, and equip Catholic lay disciples who labor for the Kingdom in their families, parishes, and communities. All in communion with the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
We believe that Sacred Scripture is the foundation of discipleship. Accompaniment—walking with others in faith—is our charism. Spiritual Multiplication—disciples making disciples—is our vision.
Emmaus Journey encourages you to encounter the Word by meditating on the Bible readings selected by the Church.
Reflecting on Sunday Readings is a FREE small-group bible study on the Sunday Mass readings.

Emmaus Journey recently welcomed Salem and Lorena Farmand to our EJ Staff team. He will serve as a local EJ Staff Member and National Development Associate—a role that beautifully blends his gifts in fundraising and spiritual accompaniment.
Salem and Lorena’s journey to Emmaus was born out of a season of deep prayer and discernment. He and his wife felt a growing call to a slower, more contemplative rhythm of life—one rooted in the Eucharist, Scripture, and the sanctification of family life.
EJ Companions have made up their mind: They're not going to let a day go by without getting into the Word of God.
The Daily Lectionary Reading Record is a schedule of selected Bible readings that the Roman Catholic Church and many churches follow for worship services.
You can use it to look up the Catholic Church's readings for the day in your own Bible.
Then you can be a disciple who encounters the Word daily, even if you can't make it to Mass!
The power of the Word of God can be released anew as believers prayerfully ponder it in their heart and give expression to it in a personal and living way.
"For the next nine months I did all the right things, but inwardly I was filled with dismay and anger. How could eight years of faithful and devoted ministry be dismissed in such an abrupt and caustic manner?
It is in times like this that prayer and Scripture matters."
