In a world of distraction and "relevant" noise, the Word of God stands forever. The Emmaus Journal helps us prepare our hearts to truly encounter the Lord.
The word of God is at the basis
of all authentic Christian spirituality.
Pope Benedict XVI
In a world of constant stimulation and distraction, Jesus is waiting for us to do the one thing necessary: sit, listen and dialogue with Him.
The Emmaus Journal is a Lectionary-based Bible Companion (using your own Bible!) that enables you to walk with the Word daily so that you can grow in relationship with God, neighbor and live a purposeful life of mission.
Prayer need not be an abstract task. Experience how by journaling with Scripture, “thoughts disentangle themselves when they pass through the lips and fingertips” and the Lord feeds you your daily bread.
The Emmaus Journal is available free to our Companions, who are lay Catholic laborers that not only aspire to walk with the Word daily but also to fuel a movement of devotion to the Word with Emmaus Journey.
The Emmaus Journal includes Reflecting on Sunday's Readings (ROSR), a resource produced by Emmaus Journey which invites Christians to engage more intentionally with the liturgy by providing insightful reflections and thought-provoking questions for each of the Sunday readings.
To lead a Bible study, Catholics simply open the journal and read and discuss the questions together!
This is Mike. His heart is on fire for spreading daily devotion to the Word. That's why he's pouring his money and time into providing these journals to people free, so they can catch fire with the Word! Be like Mike. Or better yet: Get behind Mike with a freewill gift today.
We at Emmaus Journey are so intent upon elevating every Christian’s engagement with sacred scripture that we make these journals available at zero cost. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Emmaus Journey so that we can help more people experience the burning hearts that those two disciples experienced on the road to Emmaus as Jesus interpreted for them the scriptures concerning himself. (Luke 24:13-25)
